- brain science 101 [what meditation does to our brain and why it’s so effective]
- body science 101 [the gut / brain connection + why the vagus nerve is key]
- stress-fuel [why stress is good for us and how we can use it as fuel]
- self-regulation through co-regulation [how to ride the emotional storm + why connection is key]
- languishing vs flourishing [how to pull ourselves – and others – out of a rut]
- positive psychology [how to actively cultivate happiness through fun, flow + meaning]
Lead by Grit Workshops’ Alix Dunham, grey MATR is a thoughtful, interactive investigation into why we are the way we are, and how we can take positive steps toward leading a happier, more meaningful life.

Bio:
Alix Dunham runs Grit Workshops in Vancouver (2015-2024), an organization dedicated to pro-actively increasing mental health in kids, youth and adults. With a focus on neuroscience, mindset, self-regulation and mental fortitude, Grit aims to give youth and adults the the tools they need to be mentally healthy, resilient and confident. Alix is a certified Meditation Teacher and mental health advocate with over 30 years facilitating workshops for kids, youth and adults.
