Spring is here. Days are brighter and longer. Yellow and purple crocuses are breaking through the cold soil. If your like me you’re feeling the impulse to push back the covers, stretch out your folded bones and blink your eyes open to a fresh new perspective. But with the global pandemic persisting and words like restriction, caution and uncertainty as common now as your kitchen sink you may be feeling a little confused about how to express your new found energy and optimism.

While I learned this lesson the hard way with years of struggle, I’m here to make sure you don’t have to. Because becoming stronger, more inspired and empowered doesn’t have to be a path of drudgery. It can be just the opposite – it can be fun!
Delia’s story:
If you live long enough you realize that, while nothing in life is linear, healing is most certainly not. For most of my adult life I suffered with a host of unrecognized symptoms labeled as everything from, hypochondria to hypothyroidism, and adrenal fatigue to chronic fatigue. And, although I’d found many useful therapies throughout the years, it wasn’t until I hit an all time low in 2014 that things really started to turn around for me – because in healing, breakdowns can lead to breakthroughs.
Like so many working parents I was chronically over worked, over stressed and in my case, chronically sleep deprived (nearly most of my life in fact. But that’s another story). Despite my healthy diet and long standing dance and yoga practice, I was gaining weight, feeling sluggish and my mood? Well, ‘cranky’ would be the polite way of saying it. But even worse than my physical decline was that I was trying ‘everything’ and beginning to feel powerless to change anything about my life.
That’s when I found the Yoga Shred® And while it wasn’t an instant fix to all my problems, through a committed practice within a relatively short period of time I was able to unwind the negative impacts of stress and neglect in my body/mind and unleash a cascade of physical, and energetic shifts within me. These “shifts” would come to empower me to radically transform my life — from the inside out.
And the best part? It only takes 15 - 20 mins!
What is Yoga Shred?
*Yoga Shred® is a holistic fusion of fast-twitch muscle activating HIIT (High intensity interval training) movement built from joint-safe, anatomically informed yoga poses, created by master yoga teacher Sadie Nardini. The shreds are done in 3 or 4 vigorous, 4 minute rounds of Tabata timing (20 secs activity and 10 secs rest x 8 rounds = 4 mins).
It might sound complicated on the page but scientific studies have proven it's actually simple. Just 15-20 minutes of HIIT, 3-4 times a week, can boost your cardio, stimulate DNA repair, lower blood pressure and, crazy as it sounds, optimize your BMR (basal metabolic rate) so you can keep burning energy (fat) — even while your resting.
To say it another way, just three 4-minute rounds of HIIT, 3-4 times a week (12 mins x 4=48 minutes total), gives you the same fitness results as working out hard for 8 hours a week!

As I already explained the magic of this practice is that is quick and effective and finally makes getting healthier and stronger possible – for even the busiest person among us!
And, I’m sure I don't have to tell you this but the magic of pre recorded video is that it is convenient as heck! It means you can rewind, fast forward, watch again and again, whenever you need it – so you can accomplish your health dreams, from the connivence of your home – on your own schedule.
But it's also really important to have a learning container. We all need guidance, a teacher to witness us, as well as community of fellow yogis to support us and hold us accountable. For that reason we are structuring the series like this.
